Left 4 Dead 2 Announced + Trailer

Less than a year after the release of the original Left 4 Dead, which has become one of the best-selling Valve games to date and probably one of the best selling co-op games, comes the annoucement of a sequel. The sequel, being released November 17th, will be heavily improved upon the first version. Valve has seen the success of their first game and has taken all the complaints and critiques from the community and built upon that to create Left 4 Dead 2.

The new Left 4 Dead improves upon the original in many ways but most notably with the new AI Director 2.0.

Basically, the Director is given the ability to procedurally change weather effects, world objects and pathways. Also, the Director tailors enemy population, effects, and sounds to match the players' performance.

Not only that but there is also supposed to be the arrival of new survivors, new boss zombies and of course new locations.

One of the coolest additions is melee combat. Before, the only melee combat was a bash with your weapon, now they have actual melee weapons you can use such as: frying pan, axe and a baseball bat. The best weapon coming our way? The chainsaw. Zombies are gonna die.
