Left 4 DEAD DLC Releases Today!

No word yet on when it will release but today, April 21st, the arrival of the free L4D DLC will be available on Steam. Xbox 360 users received it early this morning but PC guys have to wait a little while longer but don't fret...it will be here.

The new DLC is jam packed with sweet content included the two campaigns not yet in versus...now in versus. This includes Death Toll and the amazing Dead Air campaign.

In addition to that expect to see a new game mode called "Survival." The objective of this is for you and 3 other players to be thrown into a map which is a small, heavily modified version of the 4 campaigns and fight zombies. The idea is to stay alive as long as possible. As time goes on there is an increasing number of zombies and the difficulty level also gets harder until the end, which according ot the developers has not yet been completed. The record is about 9 minutes of survival.You basically just run from area to area where they have massive amounts of health, weapons, etc. and fight these zombies.

Below is a neat little graph that shows you how these "waves" work in the game. As you can see they've planned it out quite a bit.
