Bioshock 2We all know about the teaser trailer for Bioshock 2 (originally titled Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams) that was released with the PS3 version of Bioshock. In that trailer we saw a vast sea with a little sister, now a bit more grown up, holding a big daddy doll. As the camera panned back we would see a city rising up out of the sand. Pretty uninformative right?

Well now, several weeks after they opened a teaser website called Soemthing in the Sea, a GameInformer article was released giving us the latest scoop on the next title in the Bioshock series.

Bioshock 2 takes an interesting turn from the original story. It takes place several years after your character beat Fontaine and let the little sisters free. The world of Rapture turned to hell (even more than before) but soon calmed down when the so called "Big Sister" came along. In Bioshock 2 you will play not as a human, but as a Big Daddy.

This big sister used to be a little sister but is now all grown up (how sweet...). Your Big Daddy character is somewhat of an outlaw and isn't like the other Big Daddies, he wants to kill splicers as much as your old character. You can control the huge drill that was on the old Big Daddies but it overheats so needs recharged every so often.

In the old game, you had to kill Big Daddies to either harvest or rescue Little Sisters. This time since you're a Big Daddy, you can still harvest them but you can now adopt them and have them follow you around. She will point out where bodies are that can have Adam extracted from them.

You can read more about this article over at IGN.

Bioshock 2 is coming out to PC, 360, and PS3. It is also supposed to have some sort of multiplayer this time around, which i'm really excited about. It is coming this Fall.

I am sure that the game is absolutely marvelous! I remember playing the first version of it long ago... Ever since much have changed, but for the adventure character of the game itself.
